What Is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement, strength, and function to specific areas of the body that have been affected by pain, illness, injury, or disability. It adopts a ‘whole person’ holistic approach to health and wellbeing, engaging patients to be partners alongside our skilled physiotherapists in taking charge of their own health and recovery.

Our physiotherapists focus on utilising education, awareness, and empowerment in our treatments, ranging from teaching strengthening exercises that patients can do at home, to constantly reviewing recovery goals with patients and encouraging them to strive towards them. As a degree-based healthcare profession, physiotherapists utilise their knowledge and skills in accurately diagnosing and creating customised treatment programs for their patients.

They utilise osteopathic manipulative techniques such as soft tissue release, joint mobilisation, and exercise rehabilitation.

Osteopaths are licensed physicians who undergo extensive training across multiple domains, from osteopathic techniques to human anatomy and biomechanics. With their evidence-based approach, they are able to create personalised treatment plans to ensure the optimal recovery of their patients across each treatment session.
