It non-invasive manual therapy that aims to improve health across all body systems and can be used to treat a wide range of conditions. It is suitable for all ages though is most commonly known as a form of treatment for babies and children. Cranial osteopathy is the name given to a subtle and refined approach to osteopathy that follows all the same principles.

The body may have learned to compensate for a traumatic event or injury and the patient may be unaware that there is anything wrong, however this may be the predisposing factor to the current presenting symptoms of pain.

This technique of osteopathic treatment enables the osteopath to understand and treat the cause of the symptoms, reducing the chance’s of symptoms returning in the future. Diagnosis and treatment are intimately linked as the osteopath works to activate the innate ability of the body to heal itself.
